Desktop Computers

Desktop computers are some of the most powerful personal computing solutions available. Anything more powerful than a desktop could be considered a supercomputer because of how fast these things can already go. Certainly, a desktop today is much more powerful than the supercomputers of 10 years ago with multiple processors and ample amounts of memory.

Desktop computers are useful for the most intensive applications and computing situations due to their almost infinite expandability and upgradability. They are basically a case that can be easily customized with almost any computer part from inexpensive to ultra-fast. They are large enough to accept many more upgrades than a laptop, and often have a lower price and are faster.

Desktop computers, although they are not portable, allow the user to perform many tasks that would cripple any laptop and have the ability to support multiple screens for a more immersive experience. Over time they can be brought up to date with easy, simple hardware upgrades.
