Computer Parts
Computer parts include the case, which houses all the other parts and allows ports to be exposed at one end, a case fan to circulate the air, a mother board which also contains a CPU or processor and also has a fan, a CD/DVD drive, a hard drive, a sound card, a video card, a network card or modem, a power supply, RAM, a monitor, keyboard and mouse. This is the minimum requirements.
Computer parts vary greatly in price, quality and design to fit any budget and computing need. They can be easily swapped out on desktop models to increase the performance and efficiency of the computer and be highly specialized for specific tasks such as photo editing, music or complex engineering programs.
Laptop computer parts consist primarily of peripherals and replacement parts as opposed to easy to upgrade standardized connections and sizes for desktop computers. It may be difficult to increase processor speed, memory, and hard drive options, but there are a number of add-ons that can be connected through a PCI, USB, fire wire or other connection to increase its functionality.
